All pure thermoplastic vessels manufactured by Tanks and Systems are built to the BS EN 12573 (British Standard) & DVS 2205 Din European standard, where applicable.
These standards take into account the amount of stress caused by the weight of the product, material compatibility, the method of construction (type of welding used), the amount of fill/empty(cyclic times) and the temperature of the liquid over the period required for use.
Also on top of this is a ‘safety factor’ is implemented on all calculations ranging from 1.3, 1.5, 1.7 to 2.0 (The factor is to be discussed and agreed with the customer).
All welds are high voltage spark tested and undergo a minimum 24Hr static water test.
Test Certificates are then completed and supplied to the customer.
We also supply a drawing/s for approval prior to any work being undertaken and have an open door policy for customers to inspect the manufacture of their vessel/s at any stage.
All tanks are manufactured out of either High Density Polyethylene (PE300 grade) or Polypropylene depending on their chemical resistance and the temperature involved.
In the case of 14/15% Sodium Hypochlorite. This chemical is stored in HDPE (PE300 grade) for a calculated life of 10 years. Alternatively, we offer the option of an HDPE tank with a UPVC liner for a calculated life of 20 years.
This includes a UPVC lined base.
